JOB PURPOSE

For you, this opportunity will help you gain valuable experience and skills across a wide variety of HR topics and functions, whilst being supported by the HR team.

For us, this role will predominantly support the administrative aspects of our projects, Group HR processes and will contribute to many aspects of the employee lifecycle.

You will be responsible for assisting the Group HR Team to deliver a wide range of value-add projects as well as managing our transactional processes effectively.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

HR Administration and Support

  • Support all aspects of HR administration in the team
  • Support the Group HR Team to deliver key projects and deadlines, including support to the Group Head of HR
  • Track progress, deadlines, and priorities of all projects in line with our ambitious people strategy
  • Prepare Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents as well as policies and procedures
  • Proofread and draft HR documents including audits, marketing information, and handbooks (with support from Group HR Business Partners)
  • Attend and contribute to working groups across diversity and inclusion, engagement, talent management, wellbeing, and Covid-19. Support with taking notes and drafting agendas
  • Help build and maintain our employee intranet, HRIS systems and HR communications
  • Be a key stakeholder in an upcoming large project to deliver new system capability
  • Provide extra support to recruitment and L&D at peaks times in these functions

Develop and Maintain HR Compliance Knowledge 

  • Begin to develop a current knowledge of HR laws and regulations
  • Keep up to date with new developments in the HR field using our various tools and resources

Learning Development

  • Managing the Training Calendar, including scheduling of workshops, administration of invites and sending out pre and post course material
  • Making sure all training materials are ready for courses, and easily accessible for our internal and external trainers
  • Managing training events and keep all records up to date in the Learning Management System
  • Collating outputs from any workshops or team events
  • Coordinating and liaising with external training suppliers as required

Teamwork Work

  • Proactively work with other team members across our own function and others
  • Priorities activities for the best interest of the team when working on joint projects.
  • Handle any requests and deliver quality solutions if able, or escalate the request to a more senior team member when required

This is a 6 month intern position, based in the North West and is an opportunity for a recent graduate that has had their employment affected by COVID19.
